People are our greatest asset. Without good people, we are nothing. We therefore believe it is important that our own employees, as well as the employees of our partners, are able to work and live in the right conditions. It is also true that business operations have an impact on the environment. We are aware of this and are continuously working to reduce this impact within our own sphere of influence.
For our own employees, we have an annual development budget that can be freely spent. We also believe that as an organisation, we have a role to play in introducing young people to the world of work. To this end, we offer internships and regularly welcome students. We also see it as an obligation towards society to offer people with a disadvantage on the labour market a helping hand. We do this in cooperation with various initiatives. Together you create opportunities.
Feel Good Food
Our catering partner Feel Good Food welcomes our guests in Breda with a big smile. Under the motto 'No Social Waste', they offer people with a distance to the labour market a pleasant working environment and the opportunity to develop themselves. Thanks to this initiative, the employees of Feel Good Food get a chance at a sustainable working relationship.
Curio practical school
For years, we have had a very pleasant cooperation with the Curio practical school in Breda. The Curio practical school trains young people to work in an educational safe environment. The cooperation with Satelliet is mainly focused on the workshop, where students help us with the recycling design process by sanding returned chairs and finishing them with a special bio-based coating, as well as with the packaging of mailings and many other varied projects for which Satelliet lacks hands.
Sustainable housing
We aim to have our buildings be CO2 neutral by 2025. That is why we are constantly working to make our premises more sustainable, because there is a lot to be gained here too. More (smart) LED lighting, the complete switch from gas to electric heating, air locks in our logistics centre and so on. In the near future, we will also switch to a sustainable energy source, namely solar energy. After all, there is plenty of room on our roofs.
The Good Roll
We even know how to make a toilet visit sustainable. The toilet paper we use from the company The Good Roll has a mission to make safe and clean toilets possible for everyone. They achieve this by producing 100% tree-friendly paper without chlorine, colouring or perfumes. In addition, they have their own foundation through which they support the construction of toilets in Africa. This makes a visit to the toilet a little more comfortable.
