About Satelliet
Satelliet has been active in the hospitality sector since 1971. What started as a small-scale company designing and producing hospitality furniture has grown into a leading total supplier of furniture in sectors such as hospitality, office, care, retail, leisure, maritime and education. Besides the head office with showroom in Breda, the Netherlands has showrooms in Amsterdam and Dalfsen and its own logistics centre in Rijen. At these locations, a total of 150 employees work on ‘creating places to remember’.
Satelliet hospitality furniture is part of the Satelliet Group. This also includes Satelliet Belgium, Satelliet Norge, Lensen Projectinrichters and Euroseat. We have ambitious international growth and sustainability goals. To achieve these, we entered into a close cooperation with investment company VE Partners in 2023.
What will you do?
Together with the export team, you ensure that our customers lack nothing. Together, you are responsible for the turnover of our export department. You maintain contact with potential and existing customers or accompany them on showroom visits. You are there to provide them with your advice. Often, you don't yet know what the customer needs, and likely, they don't know precisely either. By engaging in conversation, you uncover their wishes and needs, and based on your advice, you work together to find a suitable furniture solution. To serve your customer perfectly and close the final deal, you can rely on your product knowledge and a unique range of furniture with many customization possibilities. Closing the final deal gives you a thrill, but the interesting journey towards it gives you just as much energy. Additionally, you have no problem administratively managing that deal afterward.
Who are you?
You are a true relationship builder with an eye for commercial results. You are driven to meet new people and build relationships. You enjoy going out occasionally, for example, to (inter)national trade fairs. You have insight into the international field in which Satelliet operates, and you can identify and expand strategic collaborations. The sale of our collections abroad mainly takes place through dealers and architects. You approach people with an open mind, and you can empathize well. With your sense of style and affinity for interior and decoration, you are a genuine advisor, but you also know when to act and persuade people. Your colleagues, like the customers, can rely on you. A sense of responsibility and flexibility are natural to you. You are open, honest, and hospitality is in your DNA. Your enthusiasm is infectious and can be conveyed over the phone as well.
- You are a true relationship builder with an eye for commercial results;
- You have completed a relevant HBO-level education;
- You can look back on 3 to 5 years of work experience in a similar role;
- The standard MS Office programs hold no secrets for you;
- Managing customers in CRM is a matter of course for you;
- You naturally have a sense of style and affinity for interior and decoration;
- You are an advisor, but you also know how to take action and persuade people;
- You have knowledge and experience in the hospitality, retail, and/or leisure market (experience with dealer structures is a plus);
- On the language front, you can express yourself excellently in English and German (Dutch is not a requirement);
- You are ambitious to work with the team to achieve the growth ambitions of the export department.
